Infertility is clinically defined as a couple's inability to conceive after 12 months of regular, unprotected intercourse. it is very common, affecting about 15-20% of all couples in the western world. male infertility is thought to account for or contribute to the issue in at least 50% of these couples. given these statistics, it's clear that men have an equal role to play in the fertility equation.

so what should you do?
the single most crucial step you can take is to determine whether or not there is a fertility problem, and if so, to seek help for it. time is a significant factor in fertility and unfortunately, it's one factor that you can't control.
 
Besides seeking medical care to investigate potential fertility issues, there are several lifestyle factors that can help boost your overall fertility:
 
Cut down on smoking, alcohol and drugs

 

Avoid excessive weight

 

Adhere to a healthy and varied diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains and fibers
 
Exercise regularly and avoid a sedentary lifestyle
 
Protect yourself from sexually transmitted diseases
 
Avoid chronic stress and ensure you have adequate recovery time
 
Avoid exposing your scrotum to heated environments, such as having a laptop in your lap, taking long, hot baths, and regular sauna use
