Sn™702 Legacy Scan - Instructions

Thank you for choosing Legacy Scan - our home fertility test. The kit is provided together with the ExSeed app which is also used to perform the test. Below are instructions for registering, performing the test and receiving the results in the app.

Register in the ExSeed app

• Scan the QR code on the inside of the box and download the app. Register with the same email you used when purchasing on Supernormal Health.
  
  
• Please note that camera permission is required to use this application, please check camera access in your mobile settings. 
  
  
  

Before you start

We recommend that you refrain from ejaculating for 2-3 days before taking your test. The abstinence period can affect sperm quality, and is therefore important for the test result.

(Abstaining for longer than this will not give a better result. It is also good to abstain from ejaculation for the same amount of time before each test to create optimal conditions for comparability).

Legacy Scan includes materials for two test sessions. When you open your kit, it is important that the contents are sealed and undamaged. Unpack carefully when you are ready to conduct your test.

How to test

• Document abstinence
  
  Before you take your test, we want to collect information about when you had your last ejaculation. That is, before the sample you will now collect for the test. The withdrawal period can affect sperm quality, and it is therefore important for the test.
  
  Enter the date and time of your last ejaculation in the box that appears in the app.
  (Time is displayed in 24-hour format, for example 07/02/2024 Time: 09:00)
  
  
• You will need the following to complete your test:
  
  

  ◦ ExSeed-testing device

  ◦ 1 x sampling cup

  ◦ 1 x sample glass slide

  ◦ 1 x wiping cloth

• Deliver sample
  
  Do not use creams or lubricants during the sample. Leave a sperm sample in the ExSeed cup.
  
  Choose the color that most closely matches the appearance of the sample cup. Hold the cup against a white background while you evaluate the color. Click on the empty box in the app to enter the color. Below you can see the different options in Swedish and English as stated in the app.

  Leave the sample in the cup and let it rest for 20 minutes at normal room temperature. The sample will now develop a liquid, which is important to get an accurate result. You can easily time it by pressing the “Start timer.” button button in the app.  Do not leave the sample longer than 60 minutes, as this may lead to an incomplete result. The app will notify you when the sample is ready.
  
  
• Mix sample
  
  After 20 minutes you will see that the sample is clearer. Continue by mixing the sample by rotating the cap 5 times without lifting it. This way the pipette is used to mix the sample. Then place the sample on a firm surface. See the volume of the sample by looking at the lines on the side of the cup and click on the empty box in the app to enter the volume.
  
  
• Transfer sample
  
  Check that the correct side of the sample cup is facing up. If you can read the text, it is positioned correctly. Lift the cap to see that there is a drop of semen in the pipette. Place the tip of the pipette on the sample slide where you see the two small red arrows. The sample will now be automatically drawn into the chamber. Make sure to fill both chambers of the glass slide with semen. Gently clean the slide with the wipe to remove excess semen on the slide as shown in the video. Insert the glass slide into the ExSeed device with the large black arrow pointing towards the device. Insert it until you hear a 'click' and the light in the device will also turn on automatically.
  
  
  
• Record video
  
  Place the device on a flat surface. Place your phone on top of the device and use the device light markers as a guide. Make sure you can see all four light markers, then tap “Start recording”. You can use the blue glass box as a guide. Record and confirm the following with yes/no:
  
  

  ◦ You could see the four light markers

  ◦ The phone was silent during the recording

  ◦ You could see clear sperm cells

  ◦ Vasectomy check

  
  If you did not check yes on all items, click on “Record new video”. If you are done with your sample, click on “Submit my recording for analysis”.
  
  
• Results 
  

  An initial analysis is available after a few minutes, showing whether you are below or within the normal range. Your test will also be submitted for review by our medical team and will appear as pending in the app. Once your video has been assessed and analyzed by our fertility experts, a medically verified result will be available. This usually takes a few hours. Your medical result will not be visible on the results screen until it has been verified.
